Alhaji Momohsani died on Monday after the 2 pm Muslim prayers at 83.

President Tinubu in a statement by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the deceased as a respected community leader whose legacy is evident in the accomplishments of the children he nurtured.

The President urged Governor Ododo, his family, and the entire Ododo clan to take solace in their patriarch’s life of service to God and the moral and religious values that guided him.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed and God’s comfort for the bereaved family, friends and associates.

Also, the APC condoled with the Kogi governor over the death of his father.

In a statement, Felix Morka, APC National Publicity Secretary stated: “With the passing of this highly respected community leader, the Upogoro community in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, and indeed, the entire Ebira nation have lost a truly illustrious son who has left indelible footprints on sands of time.

“The late patriarch of the Ododo family lived a fulfilled life that touched the lives and hearts of many within and outside his family and community. The amiable and exemplary character of Governor Ododo is a clear testament to the wholesome nurturing and mentoring the late Alhaji Ododo bequeathed to his son and other children.”

He prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant the late Alhaji Ododo Al-Jannah Firdaus, and comfort the family he has left behind at this difficult time.

Meanwhile, Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon Ali Bello expressed grief over the passing of Alhaji Ododo.

He said: “Baba was more than a father to you; he was a father figure to all of us who have walked closely with you. His life of humility, wisdom, and quiet strength is reflected in the kind of leader you have become. He raised not only a governor but a man of integrity, compassion, and strong dedication to the people of Kogi State.

“At this trying moment, I stand with you not only as your Chief of Staff, but as your brother and companion in sorrow. I share in your pain and pray that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, will forgive Baba’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus, and give you and the entire Ododo family the fortitude to bear this great loss.

“Your father’s legacy lives on through you, and in the countless lives you continue to touch with dignity and service.”
