Mbah greets Osisi Itodo on 38th coronation anniversary, Ofala festival, hails Essodo monarch on ‘invaluable’ service to community, State

Enugu State Governor, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has congratulated the traditional ruler of Aji/ Essodo ancient kingdom, Enugu-Ezike, Igwe Simeon Osisi Itodo, on his 38th anniversary on the throne of his forefathers, and Ofala festival.

In a goodwill message to the revered traditional ruler, while acknowledging the invitation sent to him as a special guest on the occasion slated for January 2nd 2026, Mbah commended the Ezeoha 1 of Essodo for his invaluable contributions over the years to the development and wellbeing of his community and the people of Enugu State in general.

“I wish to congratulate you on this landmark event marking your exemplary leadership and service to your subjects and indeed, Enugu state. On behalf of my family, the Government and good people of Enugu state, I convey our profound felicitations on this special occasion, while wishing you a memorable occasion. Please accept the assurances of my best wishes” the Governor declared.

Igwe Simeon Osisi Itodo, Grand Patron, Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, was crowned a traditional ruler in 1987 during the military administration of Col. Robert Nnaemeka Akonobi (rtd).

His Ofala celebration in 2026 will feature the public presentation of his biography, conferment of honorific chieftaincy titles on some deserving personalities and Royal Pilgrimage to the Ancestral Ufu-Ezikeoba.
