Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo has condoled with the government and good people of Kastina State on the demise of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a letter to his colleague and governor of Katsina State, Rt. Hon. Dikko Umaru Radda, the Kogi governor described the death of Buhari as a monumental loss to the nation even as he condoled with the bereaved family.
Governor Ododo described Buhari as a patriot, a man of uncommon discipline and integrity, and a leader who devoted his life to the service of the nation.
Part of the statement reads: “From his sterling military career to his democratic leadership as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Buhari exemplified courage, selflessness, and unquantifiable commitment to the unity of our dear country.
“In Kogi State, we recall with respect and gratitude the support and attention President Buhari extended to our developmental efforts during his time in office. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of leaders who believe in service above self.”
Governor Ododo prayed the Almighty Allah to forgive Buhari’s shortcomings, grant him Aljanah Firdaus, and strengthen his beloved family and the entire people of Katsina State in the moment of grief.
