Family of slain gay partner cries for Justice

A bereaved mother, Mrs. Felicia Johnson, whose son, Ademola Johnson died last October after an ugly incident in Epe, Lagos has tasked the state government to come to her rescue in her bid to seek justice.
AbeyaNews reports that Ademola Johnson was beaten alongside his partner, Oladiran Olawuyi, by a mob for allegedly practicing gay relationships. He died of severe head injuries while his partner escaped and since has not been seen.
Speaking to newsmen, Mrs. Johnson said her son with his partner were meeting in a hotel (name withheld) when the irate mob recognising them dragged them out, stripped them naked and tortured them to stupor.
She said the barbaric incident has left both families shattered as his partner, has not been seen after the incident.
“I wonder why people will take laws into their own hands. Jungle Justice is a big offense and I think government should start orientating the masses about the danger. Even my son alleged partner has never been found. Whether dead or alive, we don’t know. Several search efforts by his family have proved abortive”, she lamented.
An eye witness, one Aro Olatunji was quoted as saying: “I was at the scene of the incident. Those children were tortured. I had empathy for them that very day but I couldn’t hold back their attackers but I was only able to help one of them escape and ever since then, he has not been found while his ally, Ademola died afterwards.”
While the family of Ademola Johnson is seeking justice, the family of his partner is still hoping their son would be found alive.
