DSS operatives arrest two principal suspects over Uromi killings

The manhunt for the killers of 16 Kano-bound travellers in Uromi, Esan North East has yielded more results as Operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS), have arrested two principal suspects allegedly involved in the perpetration of the crime.

AbeyaNews gathered that the suspects were arrested in Uromi, following a credible intelligence even as operatives of various security agencies are said to be haunting for other key suspects involved in the unfortunate incident.

AbeyaNews also learned that the arrested two principal suspects have been transferred to Abuja for further interrogation and prosecution by the relevant authorities.

On Monday, Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo,  in Kano State, during a condolence visit, revealed that 14 suspects had already been arrested in connection with the killings.

The governor who visited the state to condole with the government and families of the victims, had vowed that justice will be served and those involved in the killing will be brought to justice.

During the visit, he also assured families of the victims that adequate compensations would be paid.
