Anambra guber: Ukachukwu, APC candidate picks Ekwunife as running mate

Few days after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited Anambra State, the Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu has nominated Senator Uche Ekwunife as his running mate.
A source from the camp of Senator Ekwunife confirmed the development which has thrown the party into wild Jubilation as they saw the pair as perfect combination for the party’s success in November 8 governorship election.
Senator Ekwunife, a two term Senator who represented Anambra Central senatorial district is the current Director General of the South East Governors’ Forum and her nomination is expected to galvanise support from Anambra Central for the victory of APC.
Though Senator Ekwunife’s nomination has not been made public to the party members, there’s already wild Jubilation among party faithful especially within her political camp.
Ekwunife was at the 9th Senate and represented the people of Anambra Central Senatorial District. She is perceived as one of the most active politicians in Anambra having been at the House of Representatives and at the Senate.
