
Former Governor of Anambra State and candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25, 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi, has explained his courtesy visit to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed in Bauchi on Thursday, March 13.
According to Obi, the meeting centered on governance, economic hardship and the need for competent and inclusive leadership that prioritises prudent resource management and policies that enhance citizens’ welfare.
Obi, in a social media post on Friday – yesterday, March 14, said they discussed the state of the nation and explored ways to move Nigeria forward.
Obi, who emphasised the importance of engaging, consulting and investing in initiatives that lift people out of poverty and criminality, while fostering a more productive and equitable society, reiterated his commitment to building a New Nigeria driven by good governance, transparency, and accountability.
