Kano Speaker mourns death of two Kano Assembly legislators

The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly,  Jibril Ismail Falgore, has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of two members of the Kano State House of Assembly.

The deceased, both of who died on Wednesday (yesterday, December 24) were Aminu Sa’adu Ungogo, Chairman Committee on Appropriation, and Sarki Aliyu Daneji, Chairman Committee on Hajj Pilgrims.

In a statement signed on Thursday (today, December 25) by the Speaker’s spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai Falgore described their passage as devastating and irreplaceable.

He noted that their discipline, integrity, and unwavering commitment to their people would forever remain etched in the annals of the Kano State House of Assembly and in the thoughts of the people of Kano, State and beyond.

“Kano State has indeed lost two of its finest parliamentarians”. This is a loss for all of us, but the grief and sorrow are the deepest and most poignant,” Falgore stated.

“From the beginning of their service, both gentlemen established a reputation for unwavering dedication to their work. They possessed vast knowledge of leadership and management, and demonstrated remarkable strategies in handling sensitive responsibilities. Their deaths are monumental not only to Kano State but to Nigeria as a whole.”

He recalled their enormous contributions to legislative development and their strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues and constituents, stressing that their services would be greatly missed by the Assembly, Kano State, and the nation.

“It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that I, on behalf of the Kano State House of Assembly, extend heartfelt condolences to their families, the Kano State Government, and the good people of Kano,” Falgore stressed.

“At this moment of grief, he prayed that Almighty Allah grants their families the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

“May Allah forgive the shortcomings of our departed distinguished Honourable Members and grant them eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.”
