The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC) have held a crucial meeting aimed at hammering out areas of economic cooperation between the two freedom fighting groups for the “betterment of the lives of their two peoples,” a statement signed by Mazi. Chika Edoziem, Head of Directorate of State (DOS) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has disclosed.

In the statement released earlier today, IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, said a delegation of IPOB leadership worldwide, led by Mazi Edoziem met with the leader of the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC), Dr. Cho Ayaba at an undisclosed location in Europe last Sunday, February 12, 2022.

According to the statement, the meeting was held “to further strengthen the alliance between the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC).”

“Recall that in October of 2020, a team from IPOB and Ambazonia leaderships met in Germany where the Foundational Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Ambazonia represented by the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC) and the State of Biafra represented by the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) was deliberated upon and adopted. The meeting of 12th February was essentially to put some structures upon the Foundational MOU,” the IPOB statement signed by Mr. Edoziem said.

“The meeting discussed specific and practical ways that will economically benefit our two nations and people. We agreed to work collaboratively to create the enabling environment that will help to increase exponentially the volume of economic activity and the existing bilateral trade relationship between our people.

“The meeting also agreed to deepen relations and cooperation in other areas of mutual interest and benefit for our people and respective nations.”
