Group ex-rays Obi, presents book on Labour Party’s presidential candidate this Thursday, November 24, in Abuja

The public presentation of the book, ‘The Challenge of Good Governance and Leadership in Nigeria: The Peter Obi Factor’ is scheduled for Abuja, the FCT, this Thursday, November 24, according to a release by the Peter Obi Book Launch Committee, Abuja.

Centred on the stewardship of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25, 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, as a former two-term (eight years) Governor of Anambra State, and authored by Professor Uzodinma Nwala, president of Alaigbo Development Foundation, the book is being presented to the public at a time of strident calls by youths and other categories of Nigerians for Mr. Obi to lead the charge for political and socioeconomic renewal of Nigeria, which they believe has suffered a lot of mismanagement over time by successive administrations

The ‘Take Back Nigeria’ clamour by the Obidience Movement, according to the Book Launch Committee, speaks to the quest by youths and all other concerned citizens of Nigeria for Mr. Obi, whose message of national renewal resonates with a majority of the Nigerian population, to pick up the national leadership gauntlet and dare to wrest the country from the privileged few who are believed to have brought hopelessness to the citizens through their misrule, and put Nigeria on a new path of unity, socioeconomic and political progress and shared prosperity.

Against this background, the Committee believes that the book has come as a major contribution to the remaking and repositioning of the Federal Republic of Nigeria towards overcoming its challenges and taking its rightful place in the comity of nations, a major reason its presentation this Thursday is being powered by the Organisation for Good Governance and Democracy in Nigeria (OGDN) in collaboration with the Alaigbo Development Foundation (ADF).

To be chaired by Haruna Dabin, a Professor of Political Economy and Vice Chancellor at Pathfinder University, Jos, who is also a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a former  Director-General of the People’s Democratic Institute, the book unveiling will take place at the D Franklin Apartments, Life Camp, Old Gwarimpa Road, Abuja.

According to a statement by the Book Launch Committee Abuja, Dr. Bitrus Pogu, President of the Middle Belt Forum (MBF) is expected at the event as the Chief Presenter of the Book while Hajia Heeber Ireti Kingibe, Senatorial candidate of Labour Party for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, will review it.
