Enugu Youths group honours Gov Ugwuanyi’s aide

Enthused by his dedication to duty and selfless service to humanity, the Enugu State Youths In Diaspora, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja branch has conferred an award of Honour on Hon. Oziokoja Ozioko as the Best Technical Assistant to Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Speaking during the event which took place Thursday last week at Area11, Nicon Luxury Hotels, Abuja and covered by AbeyaNews, the National president of the group, Mr. Nwodo Ifesinachi said the choice of Oziokoja for the award was because of his diligence, dedication to duty and selfless service to humanity.
He said the organisation received many entries for consideration for the award, stressing that Oziokoja’s passion for the job and his philanthropic gesture to the people of Enugu state and the society at large stood him clear and above others.
The president who recalled how he donated facemasks and other learning materials to many secondary and primary schools in Enugu State before and during the lockdown necessitated by Corona virus outbreak said this can only be done by a man with philanthropic heart.

He described Ugwuanyi as a true peaceful leader and a people-friendly governor, adding, “my happiness is that Governor Ugwuanyi’s Youths inclusive leadership in Enugu State government has given youths a great sense of belonging.”

Also speaking, Mr. Akam Ike, the Secretary of the group described Oziokoja as an ebullient youth leader who has served in different organisations and demonstrated good leadership qualities.

“Oziokoja has taken it upon himself to monitor and see that all ongoing state government projects in Enugu state is being carried out according to specification and with good standard,” he said.
Overwhelmed with joy, the award recipient Oziokoja expressed his gratitude to God and the governor who found him worthy to serve in his government. He equally thanked the group for the award.
“I thank you all for finding me worthy of such prestigious award and recognitions among other multitude of Enugu sons and daughters serving with our amiable governor. No doubt, this is an invitation for dedication to work,” he said.
He further advised them to be good ambassadors of the state while encouraging them to always show their support and prayers to the governor who, he described as “Godsent to the people of Enugu State and humanity in general.”

Highlight of the event was the presentation of award of honour to Oziokoja Ozioko with all the representatives of all 17 Local government areas of Enugu State in attendance.

Notable personalities present during the event include new Igwe Elect of Ugwu/Agbo Edem-Ani Community in Nsukka LGA, Chief Jude Eze, among others
