Veteran Nolywood actress, Nkechi Nweje, dies after protracted illness

NOLLYWOOD has gone into mourning following the death of veteran actress Mrs Nkechi Nweje, who reportedly died from a protracted illness.

But reactions have trailed the sad development in the nation’s entertainment industry.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, in her Instagram handle, on Friday, shared a candle light with a dark background with the caption: “This world is really not our home.”

“Rest in peace mummy Nkwechi Nweje TV (Nwanyi Onisha). You are indeed a blessing to us. But God knows the best. We will miss u so much great Nollywood actress. rest on legend,” Asa Ikuku wrote.

Also, Buchi Dortmund wrote: “Today, my heart is heavy with sorrow as I say goodbye to my dear sister. Words cannot capture the depth of this pain, nor can they fullyy express the love i have for her. Rest in peace Ezigbo Mrs Nkechi Nweje.”
